Shawnee Pottery Giraffe and Baby Planter / Black Mother Giraffe and Baby Planter This is an adorable planter made by Shawnee Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio. It is 10 1/2" tall and about 5 1/2" across. It is marked Shawnee USA 841 on the bottom. The Shawnee Pottery company operated from 1937 through 1961. It has a small chip as shown in photo near base. It has a nice shimy black finish. I find no issues with this planter except that it needs a pretty plant growing in it. Wonderful gift for the pottery collector.
